Color Corps

The Knights of Columbus (KofC) Color Corps are the uniformed members of the Fourth Degree, who represent the Order at religious and civic functions, such as parades and ceremonies. Their purpose is to demonstrate patriotism and encourage active Catholic citizenship through precision drills and public appearances. The Color Corps includes the Honor Guard, who are skilled in the manual of the sword, and the Color Guard, which includes flag bearers. 

Ceremonial

  • Distinctive dress: The Color Corps wears a specific regalia, which includes a beret, baldric, and sword (where permitted).

  • Symbolic colors: The colors of the baldrics denote specific officer positions within the Color Corps.

  • Symbols: The official emblem includes the Dove, the Cross, and the Globe, symbolizing peace, the Holy Spirit, and the earth

Service at Mass

Color Corps attends and perform at special Masses, religious services, and events involving the Bishop including Confirmations.

Funeral Liturgies and Services

Color Corps act as an honor guard for visiting dignitaries and at events requiring a dignified presence, such as a funeral or display of relics.
